  • Opening of the new R&D facility in Plan-les-Ouates.

  • Selexis started the construction of its new R&D facility in Geneva and starts recruiting highly qualified personnel.

MARCH 2004

  • The company closed its second round of private financing.

JANUARY 2004

  • Selexis started the transfer of Selexis Genetic Elements II to all its new partners.

2003

DECEMBER 2003 Selexis filed a new patent, called Selexis Genetic Elements II, based on a novel aspect of its technology platform. It is based on two novel and patent-protected principles: human MAR DNA sequences and new transfection procedures.

JUNE 2003

  • Selexis moved its headquarters in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, Switzerland.

APRIL 2003

  • Selexis entered into an agreement to acquire the intellectual property rights from the University of Lausanne.

FEBRUARY 2003

  • The company closed its first round of private financing.

  • Igor Fisch was awarded the NETS 2002 Best Prize.

JUNE 2002

  • Dr. Igor Fisch was awarded a loan from the FIT (Fondation pour l’Innovation Technologique).

2001

MARCH 2001

  • Selexis SA was founded as a spin-out of the University of Lausanne by Dr. Igor Fisch and Prof. Nicolas Mermod. The company started hiring highly qualified people.
  • Prof. Nicolas Mermod and Dr. Igor Fisch received seed financing from the CTI (Commission pour la Technologie et l’Innovation, Berne).
  • Igor Fisch was awarded the De Vigier prize for the best Swiss biotech business idea of the Year 2000.
