Selexis’ Licensee to Present at IBC Conference on Power of Selexis Based Cell Line Development Program

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, June 2, 2008

Selexis SA, a Swiss-based biotechnology company offering DNA based technologies and supportive services to enable significantly improved drug discovery, development, and cGMP production of biologics, announced today that Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, a licensee of the Selexis technologies, will be presenting at the upcoming IBC Cell Line Development and Engineering Conference (June 23 – 25, San Diego) a case study describing a high-speed clinical development program built around the Selexis technologies.

Dr. Igor Fisch, President and CEO of Selexis, commented:
“We are thrilled that Merrimack is willing to present a case study describing how they went from DNA to a clonal cell line in 12 weeks, generating productivities of almost 2 grams per liter”.
“Using our Selexis Genetic Elements™ and Selexis SURE(sm) technology, they’ve been able to develop a full cGMP manufacturing program that now supports their large pipeline”.

About Selexis:
Selexis is a privately held biotechnology company dedicated to the development of innovative technologies and expert services that enables significant improvements in the time, effort and costs required to develop and maintain high-performance mammalian cell lines used in the expression of pharmaceutically relevant proteins (i.e. targets, MABs, rProteins). The company's core intellectual property portfolio is based on the discovery and application of epigenetic DNA based elements that control the dynamic organization of chromatin within all mammalian cells. Application of the Selexis Genetic Elements™ using the SURE℠ Cell Line Development process has enabled the rapid development of high performance cell lines for a number of pharmaceutically important programs.
